If an NFT “vanished” after JPG.store shut down, it is probably still listed on-chain. CardaNFT’s reclaim tool scans your wallet’s history for JPG contract UTxOs, reconstructs the listing datum when needed, and lets you cancel with a normal CIP-30 wallet signature.
There is no CardaNFT fee to reclaim. You only pay Cardano network fees (and need a little ADA plus collateral in the wallet).
Before you start
Have these ready:
- A standard Cardano wallet extension or mobile dApp browser (Lace, Eternl, Vespr, etc.) — the same keys that owned the listing.
- A few ADA for fees, plus collateral set in the wallet (about 5 ADA is typical).
- If you used JPG social login, migrate those assets to a normal wallet first if you still can; reclaim needs the seller payment key.
Step 1 — Open Tools
Go to CardaNFT → Tools (/reclaim), or use the button at the end of this article. Connect the wallet that listed the NFT.
Step 2 — Scan for locked listings
Run a scan. CardaNFT looks across JPG contract versions for unspent listing UTxOs tied to your payment keys — including older hash-only listings where the datum has to be recovered from on-chain metadata.
When the scan finishes you should see each locked asset with policy, name when available, and the script it sits on.
Step 3 — Reclaim (cancel)
Choose Reclaim on an item. Your wallet will ask you to sign a transaction that spends the JPG script UTxO with the cancel redeemer and returns the NFT (and locked ADA) to your address.
Approve the signature. Wait for confirmation on-chain. The NFT should show in your wallet again and disappear from the reclaim list after a refresh.
If something doesn’t show up
Scans follow your wallet addresses and stake history. Try unused addresses in the same wallet, or reconnect after enabling all accounts. Very old listings sometimes need a moment for datum recovery.
Lending / Comet loan positions are a different contract family — reclaim today targets JPG marketplace listing cancels. Offers that locked ADA may need a separate withdraw path.
- Wrong wallet → nothing found (connect the seller wallet).
- No collateral → wallet will reject Plutus spends.
- Already cancelled or bought → UTxO is gone; check an explorer.
Why this works without JPG
JPG’s own site told users the contracts stay live. Cancel was always an on-chain action: provide the script, the datum, the cancel redeemer, and the owner signature. CardaNFT packages that flow so you don’t need Cardano CLI.
Your keys stay in your wallet. CardaNFT builds and helps submit the transaction; it never holds the NFT.
After you reclaim
List again on CardaNFT’s non-custodial market if you want, or keep the NFT in your wallet. Either way, it’s back under an address you control — not stranded on a sunset marketplace UI.
